Alex Hinx is a British moving image director, editor and compositor, currently based in London. He has directed commercials for a range of high-profile clients such as Amazon, Cadbury, Betway, Lidl and Mini, along with a variety of award-winning shorts and music videos.

After graduating with a degree in Film, he first started assisting camera and electrical departments on feature films, before moving to post-production and assisting for documentary production companies such as Firecracker and Lonelyleap. From there, he went on to work as a senior editor, creative post-producer and head of content production for Fallon and integrated agency The Beyond Collective, before going freelance in 2017.

Alex is hugely passionate about every part of the filmmaking process. His appreciation for refined cinematography gives him a strong eye for telling narratives visually and he thrives on beautiful, stylish imagery. Utilising his vast experience in the industry as a compositor, editor and post-producer, he always strives to deliver polished, innovative and well-paced work.

Alex has cut for Alex Black, David Edwards, Dan Beleiu, Felix Cooper, Greg Williams, Hector Dockrill, Rory Griffin, Sophie Jones, Till Janz and Qiu Yang to name a few. His editing credits include work for Adidas, Bvlgari, Nike, Balmain, Levis, Belstaff, Ganni, Lululemon and Henry Rose.
